About Bajak

28m | 4 CABINS | 8 CREW

Bajak laut means sea pirate in Javanese. She is really a ‘big girl’ compared to our Busy Girl Liveaboard. With 28 meters length and 8 meters beam, you can also say enormous for 14 guests.

Although she is a pretty new boat (built in 2015) she has this unique pirate vibe about her. This is probably –and we are very proud of this, because Bajak is mainly made of re-used wood! To build Bajak, most parts were salvaged from decommissioned boats and these good materials (mainly ironwood and teakwood) were re-used to bring her to life. If you listen carefully at night, you might hear the old stories she has to tell whispered over the main deck: of the spice trade routes, beautiful volcano islands and whales that already knew (parts of) her 30, 40 years ago.

We have also put important modern equipment into her: we have a big rack of solar panels serving electricity into the cycle, which allows us to have very quiet times when moored up and of course all necessary safety equipment is up-to-date. In March 2023 we briefly dry-docked and renovated areas of Bajak to be ready for your next amazing diving adventure.

Bajak has a lot of space for a maximum of 14 guests and free areas with bean bags and sun mattresses for you to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery and the breeze between & after dives. The dining table is set right in the open galley – like on a chef’s table, you can watch our kitchen mate do his magic. The comfortable dive deck in the front can easily take all divers to gear up – also our compressor is set in the stern, so we are far away from the noise if tanks have to be filled whilst you are on board.

She features 1 spacious master cabin with a double bed, balcony, a private bathroom & air-con, and 3 air-con bunk dorms with shared bathrooms.

Bajak can host up to 14 guests. She is a beautiful vessel for adventure trips of all kinds – we offer either open diving cruises or full charters on which we can create the perfect holiday custom shaped to your desires.

You can choose between the Master cabin with a double bed and we can offer 1 double bed and 11/12 single beds in the 3 bunk cabins.

10 out of 10!

Bajak was the perfect boat for me and my fellas! We are not the luxury folk, but we don’t mind comfort either. The boat has a cool feeling to it and offers plenty of space. The real asset, and that’s the beauty about it, is the crew! Everyone is super professional, helpful and friendly. Will come again!

A dream come true!

After living in Bali for a while, I have always wanted to go to Komodo. Finally I made it and Bajak was the cherry on top :) Could not imagine a better way to explore the beautiful island and discover Komodo’s underwater world.

All expectations exceeded!

An old friend recommended that boat to me. He said an old sailor like me would love a pirate boat like Bajak - and he was right! We had a wonderful trip and the boat is very comfortable and big. Nothing fancy, but it’s got everything you need and more :)
