Bajak laut means sea pirate in Javanese.
With 28 meters length and 8 meters beam, Bajak has a lot of space for a maximum of 14 guests and free areas with bean bags and sun mattresses for you to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery and the breeze between & after dives.

Capoeng means dragonfly in archaic Indonesian spelling – a symbol of lightness and transformation.
This 18-meter vessel is built for intimate journeys and soulful exploration. With space for just 8 guests, she offers a more personal way to experience the magic of Komodo.
2 shared bunk-bed cabins, 1 twin cabin, and one cozy dorm-style cabin – with simplicity, and comfort in mind.
What you can expect
✪ One of the World’s Richest Marine Environments
Komodo offers an incredible variety of diving. Colourful reefs, strong currents, big fish action and calmer bays all exist side by side. Traveling by liveaboard allows us to explore this diversity properly, rather than rushing between fixed locations.
✪ Experienced guides who know Komodo well
Komodo is a dynamic dive environment shaped by strong tides and constantly changing conditions. Our guides have years of experience diving in Komodo and know how currents, timing and site selection work together. This local knowledge allows us to plan dives carefully and adapt when needed — keeping dives safe, relaxed and genuinely enjoyable.
✪ Small groups, better diving
We prefer quiet dive sites over crowded ones. That’s why we limit dive groups to a maximum of 4 guests per guide and actively avoid peak times whenever possible. Fewer divers means calmer dives, better positioning and more time to enjoy what’s around you.
✪ Safety comes first
Safety is never rushed or compromised. Before every dive, conditions and currents are carefully checked to ensure the site is suitable for everyone onboard. Each dive is preceded by a clear and thorough briefing, so you know what to expect before entering the water.
✪ Responsible diving, done with care
Our crew genuinely cares about the ocean and the places we visit. We are mindful of the impact we have and do our best to keep it to a minimum. We run our boats as responsibly as realistically possible and serve fresh, locally sourced food whenever availability allows.
All liveaboard trips begin at our SSI Diamond Dive Center in Labuan Bajo, located on the main street. This gives us a solid base for preparation, equipment checks and support — before and after your trip.

I had the absolute best time ever! The service from the Scuba Republic team was exceptional – everything ran so smoothly from the moment we stepped into the shop. The boat Bajak was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room in the cabins. The crew were not only extremely professional but also made the trip so much fun. Thank you to Scuba Republic for making us fall in love with the underwater world of Komodo! We had the most amazing experience in the Capoeng liveaboard! Thank you to Yano and Archie and all the incredible Capoeng crew for the dreamiest days we could have imagined: the dives are INSANE, the dive instructors super experienced and good at what they do, the crew is sooo helpful, kind and professional and the boat is clean, spacious and comfortable. The food is EXTREMELY GOOD and local! I recommend it 10000%!!!

Lovely atmosphere and excellent services! One for the books! The minute you step on Bajak, you feel right at home. Yunus as Course Director was def made for this! The food is delicious and varied as well for vegetarians! The diving itself is top class, and we were very happy with our guide, Engel, for our total of 12 dives. Fian provided the best vibes, picking us up or bringing us safely to the dive sites, special shout-out to him and his fun energy!

What a unique experience with Scuba Republic! I was on the Capoeng liveaboard for 3 days and 2 nights. The entire crew was so welcoming and friendly. A big thank you goes especially to our two guides, Yano and Archie. They are absolutely professional guides who gave us the best possible experience you can have on the Komodos. We really saw everything we wanted to see. On top of that, they are so nice personalities. It felt like we had been friends for years. The entire trip was the perfect mix of diving and relaxing. A big compliment also goes to the kitchen! The food was so varied and made with love. I can only recommend this experience to everyone. Hope to see you soon again ❤️

Every day was an adventure! Diving with Scuba Republic is one of the best experiences of my life! As a dive instructor, I can be quite peculiar about safety and professionalism. The team at Scuba Republic excels at both while making sure you have the time of your life. Every day was an adventure.
Bajak is comfy and equipped with everything you might need. My only regret is not being able to do another liveaboard straight after. But I will be back for sure!! A special thanks to Yunus, he and the team made this the best dive trip 💙- Sergi from Spain -

We had an amazing 3D/2N liveaboard through north and central Komodo with the Capoeng boat! The boat was brand new, so it was super exciting to be some of the first divers onboard. We were blown away with the knowledge of the dive guides (Yano and Jo) and the hospitality of the boat crew. Komodo National Park is already a beauty underwater, but the experience onboard Capoeng with delicious meals, spontaneous sunset hikes, and incredible dives made the experience unforgettable!
